A young commercial motorcylce rider and university student has shocked many after defeating his opponent to win a seat in the parliamentary election.
Paul Mwirigi A 23-year-old man, Paul Mwirigi has defeated rival Joseph Mwereria to win Igembe South Parliamentary seat in Meru County with 19,366 votes in Kenya. Not only is Mwirigi a young politician, he is also a part time Okada rider in Maua town anytime he's on holidays. Mwirigi is also currently a third-year university student. His campaign was financed by his supporters. He ran as an independent candidate, while his rival contested on a Jubilee Party ticket.
