In a bold step to strengthen Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, Zusi Inegbeniki, Founder of Foundex, has launched the “Scale 1000” campaign, a nationwide initiative designed to empower 1,000 Nigerian businesses with access to funding, mentorship, and technology-driven execution support.

The campaign, which began in early October 2025, has already gained traction across the country. Within its first week, Foundex successfully supported 100 businesses through three microfinancing events organized in collaboration with SEAL Microfinance Bank, JL Foundation and other partner organizations.

Speaking at the campaign’s launch event in Lagos, Inegbeniki emphasized Foundex’s mission to transform entrepreneurial potential into measurable progress. “Our mission is to turn our drive into action,” she said. “Nigeria’s entrepreneurs have the creativity and resilience to build global companies. Foundex exists to make sure they have the structure, funding, and community to make it happen.”

Bridging the Gaps in Nigeria’s Startup Ecosystem Nigeria continues to lead Africa’s innovation landscape, home to successful startups like Flutterwave, Paystack, and Moniepoint. However, early-stage founders still face major barriers, including limited access to capital, mentorship, and operational infrastructure. Foundex aims to bridge this gap. Through the Scale 1000 campaign, founders gain access to mentorship programs, digital execution tools, and microfinancing opportunities that help them scale sustainably.

“The energy in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem is unmatched,” Inegbeniki added. “What we are building will help founders turn that energy into measurable progress, revenue, and impact.”

Expanding Across Key Cities

Following its successful pilot in Lagos, the Scale 1000 campaign extended to Abuja, and Benin, hosting additional workshops, financing sessions, and founder networking events.

The next phase will onboard hundreds of entrepreneurs over the coming months as the platform continues its mission to build a generation of scalable, investor-ready African ventures.

The campaign’s hybrid model combining on-ground community engagement with Foundex’s AI-driven mission positions it as one of the most innovative empowerment initiatives in Nigeria’s business landscape.
