LoveWorld Medicaid’s Vision 10,000 Initiative Restores Sight and Hope to Over 2,500 People in Lagos, Nigeria

LoveWorld Medicaid has announced the successful completion of its Vision 10,000 initiative, a large-scale humanitarian healthcare outreach that recently delivered free medical care to more than 2,500 beneficiaries across three communities in Lagos State: Abule Egba, Ojodu Berger and Ikorodu.

Held under the theme “Restoring Sight. Restoring Hope. Transforming Lives.”, the initiative set out to tackle one of the most preventable causes of hardship in low-income communities: untreated vision impairment. For many of the families reached, poor eyesight had become a barrier to work, schooling and independence, while the cost of eye care placed treatment far beyond reach.

Over the course of the outreach, volunteer medical teams provided comprehensive eye screenings and consultations, free corrective surgeries for patients with treatable conditions, prescription eyeglasses, and essential medications, alongside wider health support for attendees. Every service was delivered entirely free of charge, removing the financial barriers that so often keep vulnerable people from the care they need.

The impact extended well beyond the clinic, In keeping with LoveWorld Medicaid’s whole-person approach to care, which pairs medical treatment with the Word of God.

“Every restored sight represents a restored future, a strengthened family, and a renewed hope,” the organisers said. “When a grandmother can see her grandchildren clearly again, when a father can return to work, when a student can read the board in class, an entire household is lifted. That is the transformation Vision 10,000 was created to bring.”

Vision impairment remains a major global health and development challenge, disproportionately affecting people in low- and middle-income countries, where much of it is preventable or treatable with timely, affordable care. Through initiatives such as Vision 10,000, LoveWorld Medicaid is demonstrating how faith-driven, community-centred healthcare can close that gap and deliver lasting change at grassroots level.

Building on the success of this outreach, LoveWorld Medicaid is calling on members of the public, healthcare professionals, corporate organisations, development agencies and philanthropic partners  around the world to join its mission. Support through volunteering, medical expertise, funding and strategic partnership will enable the organisation to extend free, life-changing care to many more underserved communities.

Without a centralized platform, event planners whether couples planning weddings, families organizing naming ceremonies, or diaspora Nigerians coordinating from abroad rely on referrals, social media profiles, and hope. Vendors operating independently on Instagram and WhatsApp have no way to systematically reach customers or maintain booking accountability. The Celevend Solution Celevend addresses this directly. What Mintslate Media’s Job Seekers Teaches Us About Politeness, Power, And Survival At Work

Politeness is often praised as professionalism. But in many workplaces, it is also a form of control. Mintslate Media’s upcoming psychological horror film Job Seekers examines how politeness operates as an unspoken rule within professional systems, especially when power is uneven and opportunity is scarce. Rather than presenting the workplace as neutral, the film reveals how survival can depend on silence, compliance, and emotional restraint. Founded in February 2025 by filmmaker Seyi Oluwatimilehin, Mintslate Media was created to tell stories rooted in lived experience. Job Seekers, directed by Seyi Oluwatimilehin and Alan Vega, reflects that vision by centering its story on Maya, a young immigrant attending a job interview that could determine her right to stay. “One of the reasons I founded Mintslate Media was to tell stories that are real, stories that are relatable, honest, and true to our time and existence,” Seyi Oluwatimilehin says. “Every one of these films carries a piece of ...
