Football FanIQ Launches as Nigeria’s First All-in-One Football Fan Intelligence App

Lagos-built platform combines AI predictions, global match viewing information, tactical analysis, VAR explanations and personalised fan tools in a lightweight Progressive Web App.

Football FanIQ Launches as Nigeria’s First All-in-One Football Fan Intelligence App

Nigerian technology company Aurum Digital Consulting Limited, developers of the Aftermail email platform, has launched Football FanIQ™, an all-in-one football fan intelligence platform designed to give supporters a smarter, more personalised and interactive way to experience football.

Developed in Lagos for a global audience, Football FanIQ brings together tools covering how supporters watch, understand, predict and experience the game, rather than attempting to become another football news or scores platform.

“Football fans already have countless places to find scores and news. We did not want to build another one. Football FanIQ is about giving supporters useful tools that make the experience of following football more personal, informed and interactive,” a spokesperson for Aurum Digital Consulting Limited said.

Its WatchFinder helps supporters discover where to watch matches across 195 countries. PredictIQ allows fans to make match predictions and compete against Football FanIQ’s AI, while Talking Tactics provides tactical breakdowns covering formations, patterns of play and the strategic decisions that shape matches.

VAR Decoder addresses one of modern football’s biggest sources of debate by explaining controversial decisions and the relevant rules in straightforward language. The aim is to help supporters understand why a decision was made before joining the wider debate around it.

Football FanIQ also looks beyond the action on the pitch. MindScore allows supporters to track the emotional highs and lows of following their team over time, creating a personal record of how victories, defeats and major football moments shape their experience as fans.

Meanwhile, FanWallet, which supports more than 40 currencies, helps supporters understand the financial side of fandom by tracking football-related spending, including subscriptions, tickets, travel and merchandise. MatchIQ helps fans organise the fixtures that matter to them, while Fan Rights provides information and tools aimed at helping football consumers better understand their rights.

“For a long time, African consumers have largely received technology products built elsewhere and adapted for our markets. We want to demonstrate that the direction can also be reversed. Football FanIQ is being developed in Lagos with the ambition to serve football fans anywhere in the world. For us, it is from Nigeria to the world, and not from the world to Nigeria,” the Aurum spokesperson added.

Football FanIQ is delivered as a Progressive Web App (PWA), allowing supporters to access the platform directly through a browser and add it to their phone’s home screen for an app-like experience.

“We deliberately chose a Progressive Web App approach because accessibility matters. Fans can open Football FanIQ directly in their browser, add it to their home screen and use it much like an app, while keeping the experience lightweight and reducing unnecessary data consumption. That is particularly important when you are building for both African and global users,” the spokesperson said.

For Aurum Digital Consulting Limited, the platform reflects a broader ambition to demonstrate that globally relevant consumer technology can be conceived and developed in Nigeria.

Positioned as Nigeria’s first all-in-one football fan intelligence app, Football FanIQ is inviting supporters to find their matches, challenge its AI, understand VAR decisions, explore tactical breakdowns, track the cost and emotion of their fandom and build a football experience that becomes increasingly personal.

Football FanIQ™ — The smartest place to be a football fan.

Football FanIQ is developed by Aurum Digital Consulting Limited, Lagos, Nigeria.

Planning an event in Nigeria still means navigating fragmented vendor networks, uncertain pricing, and the risk that your hired photographer won't show up or your caterer will deliver subpar work. Vendors operating independently on Instagram and WhatsApp have no way to systematically reach customers or maintain booking accountability. The Celevend Solution Celevend addresses this directly. The mobile marketplace connects customers actively plann...

What Mintslate Media’s Job Seekers Teaches Us About Politeness, Power, And Survival At Work

Politeness is often praised as professionalism. But in many workplaces, it is also a form of control. Mintslate Media’s upcoming psychological horror film Job Seekers examines how politeness operates as an unspoken rule within professional systems, especially when power is uneven and opportunity is scarce. Rather than presenting the workplace as neutral, the film reveals how survival can depend on silence, compliance, and emotional restraint. Founded in February 2025 by filmmaker Seyi Oluwatimilehin, Mintslate Media was created to tell stories rooted in lived experience. Job Seekers, directed by Seyi Oluwatimilehin and Alan Vega, reflects that vision by centering its story on Maya, a young immigrant attending a job interview that could determine her right to stay. “One of the reasons I founded Mintslate Media was to tell stories that are real, stories that are relatable, honest, and true to our time and existence,” Seyi Oluwatimilehin says. “Every one of these films carries a piece of ...
