Fortuna Capital Unveils Wealth Management Vision as It Begins Nigeria Operations

The fund and asset management company is registered and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission and has positioned itself to serve a diverse investor base.

Its target clients include individuals, corporates, institutions and high-net-worth investors. Fortuna Capital will provide discretionary and non-discretionary portfolio management, investment advisory and related services, with solutions designed around individual investment goals and risk appetite.

The company said it is seeking to build a reputation as a trusted name in wealth creation and preservation. Its investment philosophy combines research-based decision-making with disciplined risk management and a long-term approach to investing.

Fortuna Capital’s management team draws experience from the banking, capital markets and asset management sectors. The company believes this combination of expertise will strengthen its ability to provide clients with investment services grounded in credibility and professional rigour.

Stella Eziuka, Global Head, Wealth Advisory, described the company’s arrival in the Nigerian market as a deliberate decision.

“We are not just launching a fund management business, we are building a platform that puts the investor first, backed by discipline, sound research and a genuine commitment to helping Nigerians grow and protect their wealth,” she said.

According to Eziuka, the company’s priority will be the creation of sustainable long-term value. She also pointed to Fortuna Capital’s regulatory approval to offer both discretionary and non-discretionary portfolio management as an indication of confidence in its ability to provide responsible investment services.

The development comes against the backdrop of a changing Nigerian investment landscape. Rising pension assets, an expanding middle class and greater awareness of financial matters among retail investors are contributing to opportunities within the asset management sector.

Fortuna Capital says it is prepared to respond to these developments by combining intelligent investment strategies with research, risk management and a long-term perspective.

The company is a SEC-registered fund and asset management firm offering portfolio management, investment advisory and related services to individuals, corporate organisations and institutions in Nigeria.

What Mintslate Media’s Job Seekers Teaches Us About Politeness, Power, And Survival At Work

Politeness is often praised as professionalism. But in many workplaces, it is also a form of control. Mintslate Media’s upcoming psychological horror film Job Seekers examines how politeness operates as an unspoken rule within professional systems, especially when power is uneven and opportunity is scarce. Rather than presenting the workplace as neutral, the film reveals how survival can depend on silence, compliance, and emotional restraint. Founded in February 2025 by filmmaker Seyi Oluwatimilehin, Mintslate Media was created to tell stories rooted in lived experience. Job Seekers, directed by Seyi Oluwatimilehin and Alan Vega, reflects that vision by centering its story on Maya, a young immigrant attending a job interview that could determine her right to stay. “One of the reasons I founded Mintslate Media was to tell stories that are real, stories that are relatable, honest, and true to our time and existence,” Seyi Oluwatimilehin says. “Every one of these films carries a piece of ...
